La Liga is littered with some of the most talented players in the world, and these stars mostly make their living in the final third, where they create numerous La Liga 2025 highlights for the fans to enjoy.
Kylian Mbappe won the Pichichi trophy in his first full season at Real Madrid after notching 31 league goals, and right behind him is the evergreen Robert Lewandowski, who had 27 league goals for Barcelona. These two stars deserve every praise they have gotten for leading their teams to the top two seeds in the Spanish top-flight standings.
However, Mbappe and Lewandowski were not the only ones who stole the show this 2024-25 campaign. And today, SBOTOP lists some of the most underrated attackers in the league.
Ante Budimir, Osasuna
Right behind Kylian Mbappe and Robert Lewandowski in La Liga’s Pichichi race was Ante Budimir, who recorded 21 league goals with Osasuna. Budimir almost single-handedly took care of the scoring for Osasuna as their joint-second leading scorers are Aimar Oroz and Ruben Garcia, who have only five goals each.
Budimir is a late bloomer. After bouncing around in Europe, he finally settled in with Osasuna in 2021. In March 2025, the 33-year-old striker surpassed Sabino Andonegui’s long-standing record of 57 league goals for Osasuna. With him leading the way, Osasuna almost defied the La Liga 2025 odds and qualified for the Europa Conference League, as they finished ninth in the standings with 52 points. If only Osasuna didn’t lose to Rayo Vallecano in their first league meeting, they would’ve made it.
Budimir gained some admirers in the transfer market because of his goalscoring exploits. Real Madrid are one of them, as head coach Xabi Alonso reportedly wants a genuine No. 9 who could serve as Kylian Mbappe’s primary backup, although there is no imminent deal yet as of this writing.
Rodrygo, Real Madrid
It’s easy to overlook Rodrygo since he plays behind Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Jr. at Real Madrid. The 24-year-old Brazilian had six league goals and five assists, good for being the team’s joint-fourth leading scorer. Quick and light on his feet, Rodrygo is a handful on the right wing, though he can also play as a left winger or as a secondary striker, making him a crucial asset under former head coach Carlo Ancelotti.
However, since Xabi Alonso took over, Rodrygo hasn’t had as much playing time as he would’ve hoped. After starting up front in their opening Club World Cup game against Al-Hilal, which ended in a 1-1 draw, Rodrygo never started in their next five games against Pachuca, RB Salzburg, Juventus, Borussia Dortmund, and PSG.
Many believe that Rodrygo could be better off with a move elsewhere this summer, with Arsenal reportedly interested in swooping him up. According to reports, Real Madrid’s asking price for the Brazilian is at least £76.8 million.
Oihan Sancet, Athletic Bilbao

While most fans recognise the Williams brothers as Athletic Bilbao’s top stars, one can argue that the most impactful player they’ve had this season is their attacking midfielder, Oihan Sancet. The 25-year-old attacking midfielder led Los Leones in scoring with 15 league goals, more than twice as many as Gorka Guruzeta, their second-leading scorer with seven league goals.
Sancet’s primary responsibility is to create chances for his wingers and strikers with his ball handling and clever passes. However, this season, he has shown he can score with the best of them. The best example of this was when he recorded a hat-trick against Girona in a 3-0 win last February. Sancet was also named La Liga Player of the Month for that month.
With the help of Sancet’s goals, Athletic Bilbao have qualified for the Champions League for the first time since 2014-15 after they finished fourth in the Spanish top-flight table with 70 points.
Antony, Real Betis
Real Betis are doing everything they can to bring back Antony next season, and it’s not hard to blame them because of the lasting impression he left on the team during his short loan stint. When the Brazilian winger arrived in Seville from Manchester United last January, he instantly became a fan favourite, helping Los Verdiblancos win games while bringing home multiple Man of the Match awards.
Antony eventually finished as the team’s third-leading scorer with five league goals and two assists. He also guided Real Betis to the Europa Conference League final, where they lost 4-1 to Chelsea. Real Betis want to loan Antony again, but Manchester United are determined to sell him for the right price because Ruben Amorim has excluded him from his long-term plans.
