While the Pistons have been on top of the Eastern Conference standings for much of the season, several NBA teams have been jockeying for a favourable playoff position, looking to avoid the play-in tournament. Among them are the Celtics and the Knicks, as they have been battling for the second seed.
Right now, the Celtics have the edge at 37-19, while the Knicks are at 37-21. These Atlantic Division rivals are on three-game and two-game winning streaks, respectively, heading into tomorrow’s hectic 11-game schedule, when they’re on the road to face the Cavaliers and Suns.
Meanwhile, the Sixers, Wizards, Mavericks, Thunder, Hornets, Heat, Warriors, Timberwolves, and Magic will visit the Pacers, Hawks, Nets, Raptors, Bulls, Bucks, Pelicans, Blazers, and Lakers.

New York Knicks @ Cleveland Cavaliers
Unless they meet in the postseason, the Knicks will face the Cavaliers for the third and last time this campaign, with the former aiming for a season sweep. The Knicks have won four of their last six, including consecutive wins over the Rockets (108-106) and the Bulls (105-99). During their two-game winning streak, Karl-Anthony Towns has led the team in scoring, creating numerous NBA 2026 highlights in the process.
Towns had 28 points, 11 rebounds, three steals, and five three-pointers on 10-for-17 shooting from the field in 32 minutes against Chicago, marking his 39th double-double of the season (league-high). Brunson had 19 points, five rebounds, and nine assists, while Landry Shamet, Mikal Bridges, and Josh Hart added 16, 11, and 11 points.

They will take on a rejigged Cavaliers team that has only lost its first game after a productive trade deadline. In the 121-113 loss against the undermanned Thunder on Sunday, James Harden, Donovan Mitchell, and Sam Merrill had 20 points apiece, while Evan Mobley, Jarrett Allen, and Dennis Schroder contributed 15, 11, and 11 points.
Mobley has finally returned after missing the past seven games before the All-Star break with a calf strain, and he’ll be the x-factor for the Cavaliers tomorrow.

Miami Heat @ Milwaukee Bucks
The Heat are determined to secure a Top 6 seed in the Eastern Conference, and they’re slowly climbing up. At 31-27, they are currently the eighth seed, and Miami are on a three-game winning streak.
Miami are sparked by the return of Tyler Herro, who has missed 15 games due to a rib injury. After leading the way in the Heat’s blowout win against the Hawks on Friday, the one-time All-Star played his second straight game against the Grizzlies on Saturday, notching 14 points, five rebounds, and six assists on 5-for-15 shooting from the field in 23 minutes off the bench.
Andrew Wiggins was the Heat’s top performer in the 136-120 home win, as the former No. 1 overall pick produced 28 points, seven rebounds, and three assists on 9-for-10 shooting from the field in 29 minutes of action. Norman Powell, Bam Adebayo, Kasparas Jakucionis, Jaime Jaquez Jr., Kel’el Ware, and Pelle Larsson added 25, 13, 12, 12, 11, and 10 points.
The Bucks saw their three-game winning streak snapped by the Raptors on Sunday. In the 122-94 defeat, Ryan Rollins and Kevin Porter Jr. had 21 points each, while Cam Thomas and Myles Turner added 15 and 14 points in the losing effort. Giannis Antetokounmpo, who has been out since late January, remains sidelined by a left calf strain.

Boston Celtics @ Phoenix Suns
The Celtics are now 2-0 in their four-game West road trip, following an impressive 111-89 rout of the Lakers on Sunday. Jaylen Brown and Payton Pritchard combined for 62 points, while Derrick White and Neemias Queta added 12 and 10 points. Boston are sweating on Brown’s fitness, as the five-time All-Star is listed as questionable for tomorrow’s game due to a right knee contusion.
Speaking of the injury bug, the Suns have been bit hard in the past few days, losing Devin Booker (hip), Dillon Brooks (hand), and Jordan Goodwin (calf), while Grayson Allen (ankle) is listed as questionable. Phoenix are coming off their worst performance of the season, notching only 77 points against the Blazers on Sunday.
Collin Gillespie had 18 points, three rebounds, three assists, and four three-pointers on 7-for-14 shooting from the field in 33 minutes of action, while Jalen Green had 13 points. These two guards will shoulder the heavy offencive load tomorrow.
