NBA: Clippers are on a Freefall Sans Their Stars

The Clippers were supposed to be one of the top contenders in the Western Conference after a busy offseason. But here they are, languishing nearly at the bottom of the standings with a 4-11 record, and there is no immediate way out for them anytime soon. The Steve Ballmer-bankrolled squad has lost three in a row, so they will be desperate to arrest their skid when they visit the equally struggling Hornets tomorrow at the Spectrum Center.

On the other hand, the Magic, Pelicans, Bulls, Bucks, Mavericks, and Nuggets will host the Knicks, Hawks, Wizards, Pistons, Grizzlies, and Kings to round out the seven-game slate. NBA fans should watch these games with great interest because there will be NBA 2025 highlights galore.

As always, SBOTOP has you covered with the preview of the Top 3 matches on tomorrow’s schedule, as well as our tips on the updated NBA 2025 odds.

LA Clippers @ Charlotte Hornets

Injuries have been the main reason behind the Clippers’ current struggles. Bradley Beal’s debut campaign has been cut short due to a season-ending hip injury. Derrick Jones Jr. is out for at least six weeks due to a sprained MCL, and Kawhi Leonard remains out indefinitely with an ankle sprain.

With all of them on the sidelines, James Harden has been given the unenviable task of carrying the team, drawing concerns from the coaching staff. During the team’s 129-101 loss to the Magic on Thursday, Harden produced 31 points, five rebounds, eight assists, two steals, and five three-pointers on 8-for-16 shooting from the field and 10-for-12 shooting from the free throw line in 31 minutes. He has never played less than 30 minutes in a game this term.

Meanwhile, the Hornets are beset by the rumours that LaMelo Ball wants out of the franchise (which he vehemently denied). Charlotte’s losing streak has been extended to four games, following their 127-118 loss to the struggling Pacers on Wednesday. Ball had a rough night, notching 18 points and six turnovers on 5-for-21 shooting from the field.

As of the moment, Kon Knueppel has been the bright spot for the Hornets. The rookie swingman had 28 points, eight rebounds, seven assists, and five three-pointers on 11-for-20 shooting against Indiana.

Betting tip – LA Clippers Asian Handicap -2.50 @ 2.04

Washington Wizards @ Chicago Bulls

Chicago sit at 8-7 after cooling off and arrive on the back of a heavy 143-107 NBA loss to Miami

The Bulls came out hot to start the 2025-26 campaign with a five-game winning streak, but they have eventually cooled off. After a five-game skid, Chicago have won two of their last three. They are now 8-7 this term.

Billy Donovan’s squad is coming off a 143-107 defeat against the Heat on Friday night. Ayo Dosunmu led the Bulls with 23 points, four rebounds, and two blocks on 9-for-14 shooting from the field in the losing effort. Josh Giddey, Jalen Smith, and Jevon Carter added 19, 14, and 10 points. Meanwhile, Nikola Vucevic, who hit the game-winning trey against the Blazers on Wednesday, was held to only nine points on 2-for-8 shooting. Coby White is expected to return to the lineup tomorrow after taking the night off against Miami.

The Wizards currently own the longest losing streak in the league at 13 games. Brian Keefe’s squad is fresh from a 140-110 defeat against the Raptors yesterday. CJ McCollum scored 20 points, three rebounds, and three assists on 8-for-15 shooting from the field in the losing effort, while Tre Johnson and Cam Whitmore contributed 14 and 11 points.

Betting tip – Chicago Bulls Asian Handicap -12.00 @ 1.88

Detroit Pistons @ Milwaukee Bucks

The Pistons remain the hottest team in the NBA, having extended their winning run to 11 games, their longest streak in almost two decades. On Tuesday, they beat the Hawks 120-112, as Cade Cunningham returned from injury.

Cunningham picked up where he left off by contributing 25 points, six rebounds, 10 assists, and two steals on 10-for-23 shooting from the field. Jalen Duren, Daniss Jenkins, Duncan Robinson, and Isaiah Stewart added 24, 14, 14, and 13 points in the road victory.

The Bucks have been struggling without Giannis Antetokounmpo, who is out due to a strained groin. Milwaukee lost 123-114 to Philadelphia in overtime last Thursday, as Tyrese Maxey dropped a career-high 54 points on them.

Ryan Rollins had 32 points, six rebounds, and 14 assists on 13-for-26 shooting from the field, while Bobby Portis, Kyle Kuzma, Myles Turner, and Gary Trent Jr. added 19, 17, 14, and 11 points. Milwaukee now have an 8-8 record this season.

Betting tip – Detroit Pistons Asian Handicap -9.00 @ 2.00
